Steven M. A 12 year old developmentally disabled girl in Berkeley, California, was grabbed, beaten and sexually assaulted by nine boys, ages 11 to 16, after school.  They allegedly grabbed her on school grounds on October 25th, first slapping her and kicking her, then took her to 11 different locations and took turns assaulting her.  Seven of the boys were arrested during a two week investigation into the attack and police are searching for two more suspects.

Christopher Eric Stubblefield, a Vancouver Christian school teacher, is accused of one count of child molestation and two counts of child rape, both Class A felonies.  He is accused of raping two young girls and molesting another.  A 6 year old student reportedly told her mother one day late in October that she didn’t want to go to school because she had been molested.  Detectives were notified and found two other alleged victims, one age 6 and one age 7.

In New Jersey, where Megan’s Law was born, voters agreed to changes in state law that will allow officials to post information about sex offenders on the Internet, as 26 other states do.  I’m really excited, and I think the parents of New Jersey are going to be quite pleased that their registry will be online shortly, said Laura Ahearn, director of Parents for Megan’s Law.

Stephen Lee Miller, a 42-year-old convicted child molester, is accused of molesting an 8-year-old boy in a public restroom.  While the boy was shopping with his parents at Tops store in Stow around 5 pm Sunday when he went to use the restroom.  The little boy closed the door and while in there, the adult opened the door, touched his private parts and asked lewd questions, Lt. Russell Otis, a 38 year old coach of a prominent high school basketball team, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of having sex with a minor.  The coach, who has not been charged, is from Dominguez High.  Authorities said they are investigating him for suspicion of sexual battery, sodomy and oral copulation with a person under 18.  Otis’ original bail of $50,000 was increased to $100,000.  He posted bail and was released.
