Former Auburn lawyer and one-time district attorney candidate Seth Carey was arrested Tuesday in Florida on multiple charges, including attempted gross sexual assault, after a three-year investigation, according to a Maine State Police spokeswoman.

Seth Carey, 46, of Rumford is being held at the Orange County Jail in Orlando. He was arrested at gunpoint at a Walmart parking lot, according to his Lewiston lawyer, James Howaniec.

FLORISSANT MAN FACES 28 COUNTS IN RAPE, SEX CRIMES INVESTIGATION

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis County grand jury returned a 28-count indictment last week against a Florissant man over accusations he raped and committed other sex crimes against minors.

According to county prosecutors, Dominic Yocco is accused of committing the crimes between Nov. 17, 2016, and July 3, 2018.

Yocco was already in jail on several other charges for similar sex crimes against teenagers. He turned himself over to authorities in mid-September 2019.

FDLE PENSACOLA ARRESTS CORRECTIONS OFFICER ON 39 COUNTS OF CHILD SEX ABUSE

BONIFAY, Fla. — FDLE Pensacola agents arrested a Holmes Correctional Institution officer on 35 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

The FDLE says Brian Patrick Carpenter, 34, of Bonifay, is also charged with four counts of promoting sexual performance of a child.

Carpenter is a correctional officer at Holmes Correctional Institution. The Florida Department of Corrections is moving forward with Carpenter’s immediate dismissal.

The FDLE says the investigation began in January before FDLE agents conducted a search warrant at Carpenter’s home on Tuesday.

EUCLID POLICE OFFICER INDICTED FOR ALLEGED SEX CRIMES, CHARGES INCLUDE ATTEMPTED RAPE. The indictment alleges crimes against a juvenile.

The Euclid Police Department received a complaint on Nov. 8, 2020, against Euclid Police Officer Donald Ivory. The complaint alleged criminal wrongdoing involving a minor child that happened while Officer Ivory was off-duty and not acting under the scope of his employment with the Euclid Police Department.

The Euclid Police Department immediately initiated a criminal investigation, ordered by Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer. Officer Ivory was placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation took place.
