Almost half of child sexual abuse victims were under the age of eight when the abuse began, according to research.
More than 4,000 survivors have shared their experiences with the Truth Project in England and Wales and, of the 3,265 accounts analysed for research, some 46% said they had only been eight when abused for the first time.
The inquiry has heard that many victims were warned by those in authority that their accusations could “ruin” the lives of their abusers.
Others were dismissed as “attention seekers”.

BANGKOK – A Thai trafficker was sentenced to a record 374 years in jail for child trafficking in a ruling that lawyers say will send a deterrent to other criminals.
Yuttana Kodsap, 31, was found guilty of child trafficking for the purpose of pornography after he lured children aged 7-12 to play computer games at his house where he filmed sexual acts with them and sold the videos on a chat app, police said.

A 26-year-old man arrested Wednesday is accused of sexually abusing two infants and creating child pornography, Vancouver police say.

Stephen Rian Price is being held in the Clark County Jail on suspicion of crimes that include rape of a child, child molestation and sexual exploitation of a minor, records show. A disgraced Kitchener neurologist accused of sexually ravaging scores of female patients will remain in jail.

Bail was torpedoed for Jeffrey Scott Sloka, 51, in a Kitchener courtroom Thursday, The Record reports.

He will remain in protective custody at Maplehurst jail.

Previously, Sloka had been pummelled by fellow jailbirds.

He’s accused of sexually assaulting 34 women who were under his care from 2010 to 2017.

He was arrested Sept. 24 by Waterloo Regional Police.

According to The Record, the doctor had an office at Grand River Hospital coupled with privileges at St. Mary’s General Hospital.

A convicted paedophile on parole in Perth’s south-west has been discovered living less than 100m from a public playground.

Busselton driving instructor Peter Wallace Hill walked free this month after serving just two years of his four-year jail term for the sexual penetration of a 13-year-old boy.

Hill and his lover David Lindner were both jailed for the teenager’s abuse.

Lindner had been assaulting the child for months when he invited Hill to take part.

Conor McGregor is reportedly being investigated by Irish police over a second sexual assault in Dublin, the New York Times reports citing anonymous “people familiar with the matter.”
