Ky. Steven Dale Green, a 23 year old ex-soldier, is charged with raping and killing a 14 yearold girl and slaying her family set the girl’s body ablaze after shooting her several times. Green, of Midland, Texas, faces more than a dozen charges, including sexual assault and four countsof murder, stemming from the March 2006 attack in Iraq’s so-called Triangle of Death. Green, who has pleaded not guilty, is being tied in a civilian court because he was discharged fromthe Army before being charged.

An 11-year-old pregnant Romanian girl allegedly raped by her 19-year-old uncle who has sincedisappeared, will travel to Britain for an abortion despite a government ruling that the procedurecan take place in Romania.  Ignoring pressure from a number of religious groups, a governmentcommittee ruled Friday the girl could have an abortion in Romania even though her 21-week pregnancyis beyond the 14-week limit set by law.  The family said they would still travel to Britain.

Stuart Harris, a 27 year old man who is wanted in the United Kingdom on sexual abuse accusationsby at least five children, was arrested by American immigration officials in Shoreham where he wasworking as an au pair. After receiving a report from Interpol, U.S. Immigration and CustomsEnforcement agents tracked down Harris at the home and arrested him for being in the countryillegally. In September 2007, a 10 year old British Boy Scout accused Harris of sexually abusinghim. Soon afterward, at least four others made similar accusations.
