LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Jefferson County Public Schools teacher accused of numerous sex crimes involving one of her 13-year-old students has been fired, a district spokesperson said Tuesday.
Renee Murphy, the district’s communications chief, said JCPS fired Micca Watts-Gordon on April 22. She declined to give a reason for the district’s termination, and Steve Romines, the attorney listed for Watts-Gordon in her criminal case, declined comment Tuesday because he is not representing her in this matter.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An Elizabethtown man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by lifetime supervised release for his exploitation of underage boys.

Matthew Alexander Lyons, 34, was sentenced this week following his conviction on multiple counts of online enticement of a minor, production of child pornography, sex trafficking of minors and distribution/possession of child pornography, acting U.S. Attorney Michael Bennett announced.

A 35-year-old Lake in the Hills man is charged with federal child sex crimes after authorities said he traveled to Kentucky four times to abuse a 15-year-old girl.
Prosecutors announced Wednesday that Kevin R. Duffy is charged with four counts of traveling in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.

A former Bath County sheriff’s deputy has been indicted on charges accusing him of sexual crimes against a minor.

Joshua Eugene Preece, 39, of Morehead, is accused of sexually assaulting a minor on Nov. 5, 2018, and he is accused of asking for and receiving sexually graphic images of minors online between November 2017 and October 2018, the Kentucky attorney general’s office said in a news release.

LIVINGSTON CO., KY (WSIL) — Two people face multiple charges for sex crimes against a juvenile.
Kentucky State Police arrested Paxton L. Faulkner Yates, 31, and Christina L. Faulkner Yates, 39, of Hampton, on Wednesday.
Investigators say Paxton Faulkner Yates admitted to having sexual contact with victim multiple times. He also took photos and video of the acts.
He’s in the McCracken County jail on the following preliminary charges:
• Incest-forcible compulsion/incapable of consent or under 18 years of age

A former Hardin County emergency dispatcher accused of creating fake social media profiles to obtain nude images of minors has been indicted in federal court.
