A Joliet man was sentenced to 118 years in prison Monday for sexually assaulting a teenage girl at their shared southwest suburban home in 2015.
Chandel Dirkans, 37, was found guilty in August on 17 total counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated domestic battery, the Will County state’s attorney’s office said.

A former Westchester County teacher is accused of engaging in sex acts with a student on school property, police said.
John Fraioli, who taught at New Rochelle High School when the alleged incident occurred, was arrested Monday on felony charges of a third-degree criminal sex act, LoHud reported.
Police said the 34-year-old then-teacher engaged in sexual activity with the 15-year-old student in May during school hours.

ELGIN, Ill. — An Elgin man is accused of distributing multiple videos of children being sexually abused and tortured.

David C. Vogt, 32, was charged with five counts of reproducing child pornography and five counts of possessing child pornography, according to the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.

On June 13, a detective allegedly discovered five videos being downloaded from Vogt’s computer, prosecutors said. Each video allegedly depicts an adult sexually abusing a child, possibly as young as 2 years old, and subjecting them to torture.

A Florissant teen accused of multiple rapes has been charged with new sex crimes related to a victim who was fourteen years old at the time.

Dominic Yocco, nineteen, surrendered in September to St. Louis County police after six girls, ages thirteen to sixteen, told investigators he had victimized them between November 2016 and July 2018.
