State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo yesterday added two more major Internet serviceproviders – including the nation’s largest – to a band of companies helping to vanquish childpornography online. AT&T, the largest provider in the country, and AOL agreed to blockWeb-based child porn community groups and purge its servers of sites featuring sexually explicitimages of children.

Brookhaven Councilwoman Kathy Walsh (R-Centereach) has proposed a local law to prohibit morethan two registered sex offenders from residing in the same one-family dwelling. The intentis to limit the saturation of registered sex offenders, Walsh said, adding that the approval ofthis law would amend Chapter 55 of the code of the Town of Brookhaven’s Child Protection Act. According to Laura Ahearn, executive director of Parents for Megan’s Law, town officials recentlyamended their local code to be consistent with Suffolk County law, which states that registeredsex offenders

Michael A. Annunziata, a 31 year old West Babylon firefighter, is accused of having sex witha 16 year old girl and is facing a charge of third degree rape. Annunziata, of 10th Avenue inWest Babylon, is a New York City firefighter and a captain with the West Babylon Volunteer FireDepartment. He pleaded not guilty in a July 3 court appearance. He was released on$25,000 cash bail and a temporary order of protection was issued barring him from contact with thevictim. Third degree rape is a Class E felony

Dennis DeMille, a 29 year old North Massapequa man, was arrested October 25, 2007, afterpolice learned that he had an ongoing sexual relationship with a 16 year old girl. DeMille, of 443 N. Queens Avenue, faces four counts of criminal sexual act and one count each ofrape, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. DeMille has admitted to downloading child pornography. He was also arrested July 20,2007, by Suffolk County police for allegedly possessing child pornography depicting girls youngerthan 16 engaged in sexual acts. DeMille, now 30,
