A 14 year old girl was allegedly raped at knifepoint on the roof of a Washington Heights apartment building. The girl told cops she was accosted Monday by a man wielding a knife as she entered the building. He forced her to the roof, where he allegedly raped and sodomized her before fleeing. The assailant is described as a 5 foot 8 Hispanic man in his 30s, wearing a black mask, blue shirt and black shoes.

Police are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who raped a 14 year old girl in Bushwick. The attack occurred Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. on Bushwick Ave and Schole St. The man, brandishing a metal object, approached the teen and forced her into his car. He drove to Stagg St and Bushwick Ave and raped the girl in the car before she managed to flee. He is described as a black or Hispanic man, in his 30s, 6 foot 3, about 250 pounds.
Beatriz Vargas, a 25 year old female basketball coach, was charged with third-degree statutory rape for allegedly having sex with a 15 year old student in Van Cortlandt Park. In November 2002, Vargas was a coach at IS 80 and met the student while he was participating in the basketball program. She was arrested after she was discovered allegedly having sex with the student in a parked car at the park. She was also charged with sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child.

Michael Caraballo, a 20 year old blind man, was ordered by a judge yesterday to be held in jail until he can post $15,000 bail for the alleged statutory rape of a 13 year old New Jersey girl. A 13 year old girl was sexually assaulted by a man when she returned to her home in Long Island City from a grocery store. The unidentified man grabbed her in the vestibule and sodomized her on Christmas Day at around 3 p.m. The man fled. The victim was released after treatment at Elmhurst General Hospital.

Scott Sullivan, 29, has been arrested for attempting to sodomize a 12 year old boy in Greenwich Village. The incident occurred November 6 at around 2:30 a.m. when he tried to sexually assault the youngster in the doorway of an apartment building on Grove Street near Seventh Avenue. Sullivan was charged with attempted sodomy.
