Danueal Drayton, 31, was arraigned Friday on charges of murder, sexual misconduct, grand larceny and more crimes and faces up to 25 years to life in prison in connection with 29-year-old Samantha Stewart’s death.

According to the charges, Stewart met Drayton on the dating app Tinder. The two went on a date on July 16, 2018, and later went to her 145th Road home in Springfield Gardens, Queens. At some point, Drayton allegedly beat and strangled the victim before having sex with her dead body.

DAYTON — A man previously convicted for sex crimes involving a juvenile in 2016 is facing charges after police say he had sex with a 14-year-old girl he’d been communicating with on social media.

Gerald Pendergrass III, 28, of Dayton, was indicted on unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, importuning and seven counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, according to court records.

Police said Pendergrass met with a 14-year-old girl at an address on Almond Avenue in Dayton between May 1 and Aug. 9.

Gov. Tom Wolf is threatening to turn up the heat on state lawmakers this summer to pass a bill that gives victims of child sexual abuse the opportunity to sue their abusers in court

Wolf announced Monday he will call them back to Harrisburg for a special session if they fail to send him a bill that opens a two-year retroactive window for these victims to file lawsuits outside of the statute of limitations as part of the state budget package in June.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a 13-year-old girl in Brooklyn on Sunday.

The girl was walking near 2363 Pitkin Avenue in Cypress Hills when a dark colored SUV pulled up beside her. The suspect hopped out of the vehicle and ran toward the victim, authorities said.

The man tried to grab the laundry cart the girl was pushing while attempting to persuade her to come with him, according to police.

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A Brooklyn man will spend more than eight years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted sex trafficking and assault.

Jermaine Taylor, 37, will also be required to register as a sex offender. The East Flatbush resident forced the teen to engage in prostitution between May 2018 and March 2019, according to an investigation. He also slapped and punched the girl multiple times, threatening to kill her after she said she wanted to stop engaging in prostitution.

A man awaiting trial on sex crimes is back behind bars after authorities say he has been arrested on a new rape charge.

Jamarcus Keaundre Perry, 29, is charged with first-degree rape. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit received the report on March 20 and immediately launched an investigation, said Capt. Jack Kennedy.
