PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of committing sex crimes involving a child, according to Multnomah District Attorney Mike Schmidt.
According to the DA’s office, 34-year-old Stacy Curtiss admitted that he subjected a child, who was under the age of 12, to sexual contact. The DA’s office says that Curtiss was in possession of and duplicated multiple recordings of sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Curtiss was also in possession of a visual recording of a person engaged in sexual conduct

A Florida fugitive charged with sexually assaulting two children over the span of several years has been arrested in Connecticut, federal officials said.
Maurice Lewis, 33, was busted Wednesday in Branford in connection to child sex abuse charges in Florida, the US Marshals Service announced Thursday on Twitter.
Lewis, who was sought on a warrant issued in August, was taken into custody at a gas station after investigators tracked him to the area. He was arrested without incident, the Stamford Advocate reported late Wednesday.

PHOENIX — A sexual abuse lawsuit has been filed against the Diocese of Phoenix and Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix.
In a statement released Tuesday, a Valley law firm confirms a man, identified as John RK Doe, filed a suit alleging Father James Sinnerud sexually abused him while he was a student at the school in the late 1980s.

After receiving tips about a man possibly distributing child pornography in Alaska, Anchorage police this week arrested two men in connection to the reports, according to a police statement.
