HOLTS SUMMIT MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO BOONE COUNTY SEX CRIMES

A Holts Summit man admitted to several sex crimes on Monday that took place over several years.

Anthony Rowell pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree kidnapping and one count each of rape and second-degree sodomy. The crimes happened in 2017 and 2018 during three different incidents throughout Boone County.

Judge Brouck Jacobs sentenced Rowell to seven years on each of the four counts. Two of the four will run consecutively to two others, amounting to a 21-year prison sentence. Rowell will be under lifetime

HIGBEE MAN CHARGED WITH CHILD SEX CRIMES

A Higbee man was arrested Thursday after being charged with seven felonies for alleged sex crimes against a minor under 12 years old.

Bryan Hackstadt, 21, is facing three counts of second-degree child molestation, two counts of statutory sodomy, one charge of sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 and one charge of child endangerment involving sexual conduct.

Hackstadt was the target of an investigation by the Missouri State Technical Assistance Team, a division of the Department of Social Services which investigates crimes involving the abuse, sexual exploitation

BLACKFOOT — A former Idaho State University employee on felony probation for embezzling over $100,000 from the school now faces seven decades in prison for possessing child pornography, according to court records.

HOLLIDAYSBURG — A 20-year-old Altoona man is facing 10 to 20 years in prison after rendering guilty pleas Friday in Blair County Court to rape and related sex crimes involving three girls in 2019.
Dylan Patrick Weatherwalk was expected to go on trial in August but advised President Judge Elizabeth Doyle on Friday that he would render guilty pleas for the recommended sentence.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Multiple former students of San Diego’s Christian Youth Theater, known as CYT, are coming forward with stories of sexual assault, abuse and misconduct.
On the phone Tuesday, the president of CYT confirmed that one of her own close family members claims that he was even abused when he was in CYT many years ago.
