A St. Johns County teacher is accused of using the internet to entice a 14-year-old child to engage in sexual activity.

Matthew Christopher Yates, 27, of Hastings, was an eighth-grade teacher at Veritas Classical School, a classical Christian school in St. Augustine that teaches kindergarten through 10th grade. He was arrested after an FBI agent posed as a 14-year-old girl online.

Massive Florida Sex Sting, More Than 100 Arrested Including Three Disney Employees

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – More than one hundred people, including three Disney employees, were arrested in a massive sex sting in Polk County.

Called “Operation March Sadness 2,” the six day undercover operation focused on human trafficking and prostitution.

Undercover detectives communicated online with the suspects and arranged for a meetup at a location where they were arrested after their arrival, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office which conducted the operation.

Former New York police officer stalked and sexually abused woman under investigation pretense

Agovino was on duty as a police officer in Peekskill, about 40 miles north of New York City, when he unlawfully entered a woman’s home under the pretense of investigating a crime, forced her to remove her clothes, and groped her.

Over the next five months, prosecutors said, he returned to the victim’s house four more times and sexually abused her twice more. On his last visit, the victim recorded their interaction and reported him.

Convicted of child sex crimes, Bay Area man gets 15 years to life, plus 12 years

A 59-year-old man convicted last year of child sex crimes was sentenced Friday to 15 years to life, plus 12 years in state prison.

Man gropes 11-year-old girl on Queens street: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police launched a manhunt this week for a man who groped a young girl on a Queens street, according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached the 11-year-old girl in the vicinity of 43rd Avenue and 97th Place and grabbed her butt, police said. The assault happened around 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

The NYPD released photos of the suspect on Thursday. Police asked for help identifying the man.

Victims of child sex trafficking went to a foster facility that allegedly trafficked them again

At least one staff member at a Texas foster-care facility designed to help young girls who are victims of sex trafficking is accused of trafficking them all over again, according to state officials and court documents.
