Kerry Glenn Sides, 39, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse Wednesday and could facecharges for being in violation with the community notification act. Police are pursuing additionalcharges against Sides, a convicted sex offender who was arrested last week after being accused ofsexually abusing an 11 year old girl.

Sides was convicted of second degree rape as a result of a 1995 case in Cullman, where he wasaccused of having sex with a 15 year old. He registered with police in February 2001 when he movedto a house at 106 Kirkman Street

Dannorriah Finley was last seen in the bedroom of her home in Orange, Texas on the morningof July 4, 2002.  She was reported missing later that afternoon.  it is unknown whethershe was abducted from her bedroom or from outside of the residence.  Dannorriah’s body wasdiscovered on July 8, 2002, in an isolated area on Pleasure Island in port Arthur, Texas,approximately 27 miles from her residence.

Joseph Stacy, 76, walked into the Port Jervis Auto Mall and began firing a handgun at Michael Walter, 43, of Westfall, Pa., hitting him twice and killing him.  Walter was to testify Wednesday in Pa. court about sexual-abuse charges against Stacy.  He is accused of molesting Walter’s 6 and 8 year old daughters last August.

Roberto Martinez, a 21 year old Staten Island man, was arrested yesterday for groping a 14 year old girl in a public pool.  He was arrested at the Faber Park pool in Port Richmond after the girl complained to cops.  He was charged with sex abuse.

Michael D. Mathelier, a 22 year old Queens man, was arrested and charged with fondling a 12 year old girl in the East Bathhouse pool at Jones Beach on Thursday.  He was arrested after lifeguards called police when the girl told them a man had fondled her in the pool.  The girl pointed him out as the man who had touched her when officers arrived.  He is charged with first degree sexual abuse and was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.  He was being held yesterday on
