At the March 23 Meeting of the General Legislature, Legislator Jack Eddington, Chair ofPublic Safety, was joined by all of his fellow legislators to pass his bill to require homeless sexoffenders to wear GPS tracking devices.  The new law will ensure that all homeless registeredsex offenders who are placed into temporary housing by Suffolk County Department of Social Serviceswill wear a GPS ankle bracelet for the duration of their stay in temporary housing.
