CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia man convicted of filming an infant being sexually abused will likely spend life in prison.
Kanawha Circuit Judge Tera Salango sentenced Richard Smith II, 41, on Wednesday to serve between 205 and 775 years behind bars.
Smith was convicted last month of 11 counts of first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of sexual assault and five counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in position of trust.

PAWNEE COUNTY, Oklahoma – A child sex crime sting has led to multiple arrests in Pawnee County.
The Pawnee County Sheriff told News On 6 the investigation started when a middle school student turned in an older classmate for making a lewd proposal. That case led investigators to a social media app and to 11 men, who the sheriff says were targeting underage boys for sex.

SHASTA LAKE, Calif. — The head wrestling coach at Central Valley High School has been arrested after confessing to multiple felony sex crimes against student(s).
On Monday, February 24, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Major Crimes Unit (MCU) was advised of possible sexual assaults on female students occurring over the last two years at Central Valley High School.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Identical twin brothers who admitted to child sexual exploitation and child pornography offenses were sentenced to 30 and 25 years in prison, to be followed by a lifetime term of supervised release, according to Nevada authorities.

APPLETON, Wis. (WLUK) — Casey Welk, a part-time Grand Chute police community service officer, was charged Wednesday with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
Welk faces up to 250 years in prison 25 each for the ten felonies he faces.
According to the criminal complaint, an online tip claimed the child porn images were posted to Instagram. Outagamie County sheriff’s officials tracked the account to Welk’s address.
