Police in West Tennessee have charged 24-year-old Molly Jane Roe with the rape and murder of17-month-old Maleeya Marie Murley.  Maleeya was flown to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’sHospital in Vanderbilt in Nashville on June 7 with a severe brain injury.  During anexamination doctors discovered severe bruising to her hips, abdomen and vagina.  They alsodiscovered a bite mark on her back.  She received her brain injury when Roe threw her, causingher to hit her head on a blunt object.  Maleeya was the daughter of Roe’s boyfriend whowas not involved in his

Isabel Chavelo Gutierrez, a 53 year old overweight registered sex offender, died whileraping a 77-year-old South Texas woman.  The incident happened June 2, after Gutierrez rodetwo miles by bicycle from his home to the victims home.  Gutierrez, weighing between 230 and250 pounds, sneaked into the woman’s house and began raping her at knifepoint.  During theattack, he said he wasn’t feeling well, rolled over and died.  He was a registered sexualoffender on parole for aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child.
