A Connecticut high school teacher was arrested for allegedly having sex a handful of timeswith a special education student, then denying and destroying evidence of the acts.

Laura Ramos, 31, was charged Tuesday with second-degree sexual assault, according to theConnecticut Post. Police arrested Ramos, who is a wife and a mother, after she admitted to havingsex with an 18-year-old student while she was teaching at Central High School in Bridgeport.

A Richmond man has been charged with rape from an alleged incident that took place inCharlottesville in February.

Stephen Dalton Baril, age 20, was at the time enrolled at the University of Virginia, accordingto police. He turned himself in at the magistrate’s office on Wednesday, reportsNewsplex.

Baril faces charges of rape and forcible sodomy for an incident that occurred on Feb. 1.

In a bond hearing on Monday, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Areshini Pather outlinedthe allegations against Baril.

Pather said Baril bought the victim, also a UVa. student, a shot of alcohol at Trinityrestaurant

Nicole Dufault, a 35 year old teacher at Columbia High School in northern New Jersey, facesadditional charges of having sex with students.  Essex County authorities announced newcharges Friday against Dufault.  She was arrested this week and charged with sexuallyassaulting three students on school property and in her car.  Two more alleged victims wereadded Friday.  Dufault pleaded not guilty to charges involving the original threestudents.  She faces counts of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of achild and his being held on $500,000 bail.
