KAYSVILLE — A 56-year-old Kaysville man faces three child sexual abuse charges from alleged incidents that occurred a decade apart.
Kaysville police arrested Steven Louis Flocken on Sept. 13 after a couple reported the day before that they were at Flocken’s home for a barbecue when Flocken, their next-door neighbor, inappropriately touched their 5-year-old daughter.
A subsequent investigation of Flocken’s history resulted in allegations that in 2010-11, Flocken allegedly twice raped the 5-year-old daughter of the woman who cleaned his house.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) — The Catholic Diocese of Pueblo failed to immediately report child sex abuse allegations to police after a victim came forward in February 2020, according to a report released by the Colorado Attorney General’s office Tuesday morning.
The victim reported to the Pueblo Diocese that Monsignor Marvin Kapushion sexually abused him in 1984 but police weren’t notified until two weeks after Kapushion died in April 2020, according to the report, which was published by former U.S. Attorney Bob Troyer.

A senior inspector said the school’s “culture of minimisation” had made it more difficult to uncover wrongdoing.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court heard conflicting arguments at a virtual hearing on Tuesday about whether Bill Cosby was fairly convicted of sex crimes in 2018, but many of the seven justices seemed doubtful of the prosecution’s assertions.
The high court heard oral arguments from Cosby’s appellate lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, and from two prosecutors from the office of District Attorney Kevin Steele of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, about whether Cosby’s 2018 trial was flawed by evidence and testimony that should have been excluded, and thus should be thrown out.

An Altoona man has been sentenced to four years in prison for sexually abusing two young girls.
Jason Adkins, 45, will serve two years apiece for counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and indecent contact with a child, both aggravated misdemeanors. Three felony charges of sexual assault were dismissed. Adkins also will be registered as a sex offender for life.
