Two Marianist religious order priests accused of molesting children in the United States worked in the Diocese of Fort Worth. But they aren’t on a list of clergy accused of sexual abuse of minors in the Fort Worth area because the alleged abuse didn’t occur here, according to a statement from the diocese.

The Roman Catholic religious order based in St. Louis recently released the names of its members found to have sexually abused a minor since 1950 in the United States.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Two people have been arrested and charged following an investigation into alleged child abuse and sexual exploitation of a minor.

On July 2, 2020, the Asheville Police Department received notification of a case of potential child abuse that was allegedly occurring within city limits. Detectives assigned to the Asheville Police Department unit working at the Buncombe County Family Justice Center began investigating the allegations. These efforts were in conjunction with investigators from the Waynesville Police Department, as the case involved evidence originating in that jurisdiction.

THREE LOCAL MEN CHARGED WITH CHILD SEX CRIMES, AUTHORITIES SAY

Three local men were arrested Tuesday in separate child sex crime investigations, authorities said.

Gram Davis Armstrong, 41, 425 Belmere Luxury Court, Houma, is charged with distribution of pornography involving children under 13, police said.

Henry Abraham Ruiz, 32, 605 Pendleton Drive, Houma, is facing eight counts of distribution of child pornography, authorities said.

Also charged Tuesday was Nelson Naquin, 58, of Raceland, with 22 counts of distribution of child pornography, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

Naquin, who is a convicted sex offender, is also charged with indecent behavior

ST. CLOUD PRIEST SENTENCED AFTER HAVING SEX WITH WOMAN HE WAS COUNSELING FOR SEXUAL ABUSE

ST.CLOUD, Minn. (FOX 9)- A priest who had sex with a woman who he was counseling following her previous sexual abuse was sentenced to more than three years in prison Wednesday, according to the Stearns County Attorney’s Office.

Anthony Oelrich was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct after he was charged for using the victim’s vulnerabilities against her.

 

The victim reported Oelrich in 2017 to the St. Cloud Police Department after she sought “spiritual guidance” from him after she was sexually abused.

A 33-year-old man has filed a lawsuit against a retired Catholic priest who lives in Ormond Beach, accusing the priest of sexually molesting him two decades ago when the man was a teenager being held in a juvenile detention facility.

A private tutor in Peoria was arrested on Thursday after police say he was found with hundreds of sexually explicit images and videos of children.

Carl Nathaniel Adam Fredricksen, 34, was arrested at a hotel near 75th Avenue and Bell Road on suspicion of child molestation, sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual conduct with a minor and furnishing harmful items to minors.

On July 2, a parent contacted police after learning Fredricksen showed a child inappropriate videos involving children and asked if the child wanted to partake, according to police spokesperson
