APPEALS COURT UPHOLDS PREACHER’S SEXUAL ABUSE CONVICTION

Reverend Dennis Lamar Fields, a 53 year old Mobile County preacher, was convicted last yearafter a man testified that he took lewd photos of him when he was a nine year old child. The mantestified that he called police 20 years later when his own nine year old son revealed that Fieldshad begun molesting him. The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has upheld Field’s conviction and 23year prison sentence in the sexual abuse of the father and son.
