The Linn County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Sunday who is suspected of committing sex crimes against an underage girl.
During a Linn County Circuit Court appearance on Monday, Donald Burl Totton, 42, was charged with first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and first-degree sex-abuse. The state has filed a notice of intent to seek an enhanced sentence as the child was especially vulnerable, and that the degree of harm was significantly greater than typical.

A Snapchat message a 14-year-old California girl sent to friends saved her from being forced into prostitution by three men — one of whom was charged with raping her, according to news reports.

SIKESTON — A Sikeston man is in custody for sex crimes after an incident Thursday.
According to release from Evelyn Aceves, Sikeston Department of Public Safety public information officer, the incident began Thursday when officers responded to Quick Chek, 1801 E. Malone, in reference to a suspicious incident.

One of Florida’s most hunted criminals — a notorious sex fiend known as the “Pillowcase Rapist” who terrorized more than four dozen women in the 1980s — has been caught, according to reports.
Law enforcement sources identified the suspect as 60-year-old Robert Eugene Koehler, a registered sex offender from Palm Bay, Fla., the Miami Herald reported Monday.
