NYACK, NY — Seven New York Hospitals, including Montefiore Nyack Hospital, have settled with the state Attorney General’s Office after an investigation into unlawful bills to rape survivors for forensic rape examinations.

Under the terms of the agreements, the hospitals will implement written policies to ensure that sexual assault survivors do not receive bills for their rape examinations, provide full restitution to any improperly billed sexual assault survivors, and pay costs.

Police have arrested a Pennsylvania high school’s head football coach on child pornography charges. Fifty-nine-year-old Russell Barley, of Chippewa Township, was arraigned Thursday in Beaver on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. State police say they found a video of a nude 14-year-old girl from a computer in Barley’s home. Police say Barley told investigators that he had deleted other downloaded videos

A Texas man was arrested after a 9-year-old relative was caught at school searching pornographyto learn about what the creep had been doing to her, court documents reveal.

Anthony Garay, 31, of San Antonio, faces charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child, afirst-degree felony, the San Antonio Express-News reports. He remained jailed as of late Wednesdayin Bexar County Jail on $75,000 bond, jail officials said.

Timothy Lucie, a 46 year old man charged with raping his 11 year old daughter just hours before she was found hanging in her bedroom, denied a neglect charge involving his other four children in Family Court. Onondaga County Family Court Judge Martha Walsh Hood ordered Lucie to have no contact with his four young sons and also granted a joint motion by Lucie’s defense attorney and the children’s law guardian to close all further proceedings to the public. A Westchester federal jury has awarded $375,000 to a former high-school basketball star who claimed his civil rights were violated when Felicita DeJesus, a school secretary, carried on a two year affair with him, starting when he was 15 years old.   The jury said the Ossining school district failed to properly supervise DeJesus.  But school officials were cleared of charges they knew about the affair with the victim and ignored it.
