Charles Mozdir, a sex offender who had been on the run for over two yours after skippingbail in California and hiding from the law after molesting two boys under the age of 7, was shotand killed by NYPD in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village Monday.  NYPD detective Mario Muniaand Marshals Ryan Westfield and Pat Lin were shot and are recovering.  Mozdir fired upon theofficers at very close range and the officers returned fire.  During the exchange of gunfireMozdir was shot dead.

Yolanda Ostoloza, a 39 year old Florida mom accused of trying to pimp out her 15 year olddaughter in Manhattan during Super Bowl week, was arrested on January 29 for misdemeanor childendangerment.  She set her daughter up for a $200 Midtown hotel tryst with what turned out tobe an undercover cop.  After she was arrested, Ostoloza allegedly said she thought herdaughter was just going to do fetish stuff.
