Fifteen New Jersey residents, including a 70 year old retired Presbyterian minister, were bustedyesterday as the feds smashed an international kiddie-porn ring based in Belarus.

Eric Hopkins, a 32 year old former Florida security guard, has pleaded guilty to a charge of trying to lure an underage Connecticut girl into a sexual relationship over the Internet.  Hopkins left his Florida home last fall and his plan was to drive to Connecticut, pick up a 13 year old girl he met on the Internet and bring her back as his sex slave.  He didn’t know that Stacy from Connecticut was actually Glastonbury Police Officer Scott Driscoll working for the FBI’s Computer Crime Task Force.  Hopkins faces

Joseph Bovino, a 54 year old city public-school teacher, was nabbed in an Internet sex sting. Hewas trying to lure a 14 year old girl into sexually torturing him. But the girl he allegedlyhoped would tie him up turned out to be an undercover agent from the Westchester County DistrictAttorney’s Office. Bovino, who is married and has two children was arraigned Monday on a charge ofattempted first degree disseminating indecent material to minors. Other charges may be lodged.

Suffolk County police yesterday announced the arrests of five men for attempting to solicit sex from children over the Internet.  

– Charles Calandra, 30, of 21 Cottontail Road in Center Moriches, was arrested November 19 after chatting under the screen name Sweeee21.  He was arraigned and is being held at the Suffolk County jail.  He was convicted after sodomizing a juvenile male in 1998 but was out of jail and had finished probation.

Richard Trincellito, a 39 year old New Hyde Park man who designs toys and games for major manufacturers, has been charged with attempted rape, attempted sodomy and child endangerment after being caught in an Internet sting operation.  Trincellito, of 2013 New Hyde Park Road, was arraigned Friday after his arrest in the 7-11 parking lot in Bayside.  Bail was set at $25,000.  He allegedly used AOL instant messages to try to arrange a sexual liaison with a person he believed to be a 13 year old girl.  Instead it was
