EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A Brooklyn man will spend more than eight years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted sex trafficking and assault.

Jermaine Taylor, 37, will also be required to register as a sex offender. The East Flatbush resident forced the teen to engage in prostitution between May 2018 and March 2019, according to an investigation. He also slapped and punched the girl multiple times, threatening to kill her after she said she wanted to stop engaging in prostitution.

A man awaiting trial on sex crimes is back behind bars after authorities say he has been arrested on a new rape charge.

Jamarcus Keaundre Perry, 29, is charged with first-degree rape. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit received the report on March 20 and immediately launched an investigation, said Capt. Jack Kennedy.

To protect the privacy of the victim, Kennedy said, authorities are not saying where the assault happened.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Hicksville man was arrested Sunday after Nassau County police say he broke into a woman’s home and forcibly touched her.

According to police, Carlos Villeda, 58, broke into the home of a 42-year-old woman on East Street in Hicksville at 9:10 p.m. Once inside, police say he began to forcibly grab and touch the woman.

The woman told him to leave, and he headed out the front door, police said. The woman closed and locked the door behind him and then called 911.

The release says that Glorioso and another man named Nathan Welch kidnapped a woman at knifepoint. She was driving them in her vehicle from Portsmouth into Greenup County, Kentucky. The victim testified that both men sexually assaulted her until they allowed her to leave. She ended up traveling back across the river on foot.

She reported the incident to the police, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment for the multiple injuries she sustained during the assault.

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A Taylor County woman has been given a federal prison sentence that matches her husband’s after the couple pleaded guilty to a child sex charge.

Monday, U.S. District Judge Thomas Kleeh sentenced Ashley Weber, 39 of Thornton, to 28 years behind bars for a child pornography charge, United States Attorney William Ihlenfeld announced.

Weber pleaded guilty in October 2021 to one count of “Aiding and Abetting Production of Child Pornography.” Weber admitted to using a minor child to engage in sexually explicit conduct and producing child pornography

LACKAWAXEN TOWNSHIP, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Police say they arrested a sex offender who failed to register and also faces multiple other charges.

According to PSP, Lloyd Swisher, 47, of Greeley, got into a fight with a 51-year-old female and fled the scene as police arrived.

Troopers say upon an extensive search they made contact with Swisher, but he again fled from PSP-Blooming Gove. An arrest warrant was then issued for Swisher.
