Donald Jean, a 37 year old Brooklyn pastor, has been charged with sexually abusing a 13 year old boy who regularly stayed over his house, telling him that God would cripple him for life if he told authorities. Jean surrendered to authorities in April 2005 and was arrested and charged with sexual abuse, criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child. Jean has allegedly attacked the teen six times. Jean allegedly shook the boy from his sleep and raped him, ignoring the teen’s pained cries for help. Police

According to a British-based Internet Watch Foundation report published today, child pornography on the Internet is becoming more brutal and graphic, and the number of images depicting violent abuse has risen fourfold since 2003.  It identified about 10,700 individual Internet addresses on 3,000 sites containing child pornography content.  About 80% of the children in the abusive images are female, and 91% appear to be under the age of 12.

Javier Fuentes, a Brooklyn public-school aide seduced a 16 year old student and got her pregnant, then told the girl and her mom he was unable to do anything for her, according to a legal claim that seeks $5 million in damages.  Fuentes is a Intermediate School 71 paraprofessional who was sent to work at the department’s regional office pending the outcome of the case.  The girl, who aborted her pregnancy, has refused to confirm that she and Fuentes had sex, the mother said.

William Ayres, a 75 year old prominent child psychiatrist in California, is accused by more than three dozen former patients of molesting them.  San Mateo County prosecutor Melissa McKowan said she expects to add charges next week alleging that Ayres, former head of the American Academy of child and Adolescent Psychiatry, molested four more boys who had been in his care, bringing the total to nine cases that can be prosecuted within the statute of limitations.  Ayres was jailed Friday after a judge raised his bail from $250,000 to $750,000.

A federal bankruptcy judge is threatening the roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego with contempt for allegedly attempting to hide assets to avoid payment to clergy sexual abuse victims.  The threat came six weeks after the diocese sought bankruptcy protection amid lawsuits by more than 140 people.

Cemal Seferoglu, a 46 year old hair stylist, was arrested for molesting an 8 year old girl while washing and cutting her hair in a Sunnyside salon.  He was charged with sexual abuse and child endangerment.
