Det Con Paul Allgood, 60, was convicted of having images of children, 32 described as the worst kind, after they were discovered on his laptop.

He had also pleaded guilty to filming a schoolgirl, aged 13 or 14, in an upskirting incident.

Allgood was given a 22-month prison term, suspended for two years.

The former detective had specialised in investigating sex offences before working in economic crime.

NORTON, Kan. (KAKE) – A former Kansas City school resource officer was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison for child sex crimes and rape.
Kansas Attorney General said Mark Scheetz was sentenced for two Jessica’s Law counts of aggravated criminal sodomy with a child younger than 14 and two counts of rape. Scheetz was sentenced to life in prison and he will not be eligible for parole for at least 50 years.
Scheetz was also sentenced to 32 months for sexual exploitation of a child and six months

A Florida man has been charged with multiple sex crimes after police learned he went to an 11-year-old’s home, picked her up and traveled with the child for several days.
The investigation began in March following the victim’s disappearance and mysterious return to her Bay County home, authorities said in a news release Tuesday. The girl was reported missing on March 20, seven days after she was last seen, and she returned home on March 21, according to police.

A judge on Wednesday ordered former Penn State University President Graham Spanier to start serving a two-month jail sentence in July in connection with the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.
Spanier’s 2017 misdemeanor conviction for one count of endangering the welfare of children had been overturned amid his legal team’s appeals before Judge John Boccabella upheld it this week.
Spanier was forced out as the school’s top administrator after Sandusky was arrested in 2011. Sandusky was convicted in 2012 for sexually abusing several boys during his career

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Clinton, Missouri, man who was identified and arrested on the same day he shared live video and images of his sexual assault of a toddler with an undercover officer was sentenced in federal court today for producing child pornography.
Gino Alexander Maiorano, 26, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Greg Kays to 25 years in federal prison without parole. The court also ordered Maiorano to spend the rest of his life on supervised release following incarceration.
