Timothy Twitty, a 33-year-old man who was first diagnosed as a pedophile at age 14, wassentenced to 30 years in prison for the statutory sodomy of a 12-year-old girl and a concurrent15-year term for kidnapping. A second kidnapping charge and a second statutory sodomy involving a13 year old were dismissed as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Reverend Edward A. Pipala was a pastor at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Goshen and an assistant pastor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monroe. He has served seven years in a federal penitentiary after pleading guilty to a federal charge of taking a minor across state lines to New Jersey for illicit sex. A young girl was forced off an elevator and sexually abused in Harlem in the latest sexual assault of teenage girls in Manhattan and the Bronx. James P. Johnson, 39, kidnapped a 10 year old girl at a bus stop and held her captive for three days. He was arrested and now sentenced to life in prison without parole. Two psychiatrists testified at his sentencing that he was acting out a fantasy to make the girl his wife and mother to his three children. James Michael Patch, a 41-year-old man who served prison time for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman was arrested Thursday on multiple counts of child molestation of a 14-year-old Butte County girl. He was convicted in 1981 of raping a Minnesota woman at knifepoint and was able to hide his real identity and get permission to become a foster parent to the teenager. James Michael Lumley, a 53 year old educator once named teacher of the year, would sequester himself in his school office with a marijuana pipe and download child pornography from the Internet when not pursuing his duties as vice principal or tending to his part-time political career.
