Tony Randall McKinney, a 40-year-old Guilford Township man, is accused of raping a 6-year-old boy. He pleaded guilty to one count of rape as part of a plea bargain. The plea was entered after prosecutors agreed to drop the charged for a sexual predator specification, which carries a life sentence. The rape charge, a first-degree felony, carries a penalty of three to 10 years in prison. A survey was conducted of 400 girls at two private high schools in Tokyo by a civic group set up to fight sexual molestation on trains. John Diaz, a 16 year old Georgia teenager, was arrested Friday while visiting family in Oceanside. He has been charged as an adult with sodomy. He allegedly performed a sex act on his 5-year-old cousin in December. He was arraigned and ordered held at the Nassau jail on $50,000 cash bail. The girl told her mother about the sodomy a few days after Diaz went back to Georgia and her parents contacted police who started an investigation several weeks ago. Joseph Mosomi, a 25 year old Valley Stream man, is charged with felony stalking, a law that went into effect in New York in December 1999. He was arrested in the alleged stalking of a 10-year-old girl he met in his neighborhood. He pleaded not guilty and was released from Nassau County jail after posting $2,500 cash bail.
