Vili Fualaau, the 22 year old father of two children by former teacher Mary Kay Letourneau, has dreamed of a future with her.  Letourneau was released from prison on August 4, 2004.  Fualaau was 12 and in middle school when the contact with his former teacher began. She routinely kept him in her elementary school classroom late at night, slow dancing and having sex with him. Washington State Patrol on Monday announced that officers working on a task force investigatingchild sexual abuse had recently arrested 26 men on suspicion of crimes ranging from child rape topossession of child pornography.

The Operation Net Nanny sting was organized by the state police Missing and Exploited ChildrenTask Force. Officers working on the task force used the internet to communicate with men interestedin exploiting children. The men were arrested when they went to meet the undercover officers inperson.

David Onstott, a 36 year old registered sex offender, confessed to killing 13 year old Sarah Lunde, who disappeared in April, saying he got into an argument with her and he choked her to death in her home. He was charged with first degree murder. Sarah was last seen April 9, shortly after returning home from a church trip. Early the next morning, Onstott paid a visit to the family’s home to look for Sarah’s mother whom he once dated.

Timothy Felton, a 31 year old violent ex-convict, allegedly lured two young boys into a Queens park where he attacked them after asking for directions and promising gifts.  He allegedly fondled the 11 and 13 year old boys in a secluded area of MacNeil Park in College Point on Monday afternoon.  When he promised them money, the boys returned the next day, and the suspect abused the younger boy in a bathroom while the other boy guarded the door.  Felton was released from prison in February 2004 after serving 11

Larry McQuay, a convicted sex offender who once asked to be castrated, is due for mandatoryrelease in May. He is currently serving a 20 year sentence but with good behavior and time served,he is scheduled to be released May 3, only eight years into his sentence. After McQuay was releasedin 1996 for molesting a 7 year old boy, he admitted to another sex crime involving a child, and itwas then when he was returned to prison that he asked to be castrated. It is not known if he everwas castrated.

Kevin D. Cooks, a 21 year old Flanders man, was arrested on rape and sodomy charges March 12, 2004, stemming from an ongoing sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl.  He was already under arrest as a result of an investigation into several burglaries in the Flanders area when police became aware of allegations that he had been sexually involved with the girl.  Cooks, of 20 Hart Avenue, was released from the Suffolk County jail in Riverhead March 12 on the burglary charges, but immediately arrested again and arraigned
