Fernando Colman, a 35 year old soccer coach from Elmont, was indicted on charges of sexuallyabusing six boys during team trips in 2001 that involved overnight stays at two Queens hotels. The19-count Queens indictment charged that Colman, who is a construction worker and serves as vicepresident of the Argentina Soccer School in Forest Hills, sodomized and sexually abused the sixboys who range in ages 11 to 14, during soccer competitions in the metropolitan area. Bradley Roffer, a 30 year old Mount Sinai Middle School physical education teacher, was arrested after asking a 14 year old student during an Internet chat to have sex with him. Roffer, of 29 Mt. Rainier Avenue in Farmingville, was charged with one felony count of disseminating indecent material to a minor and a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child. He surrendered to police after being arraigned and was released on his own recognizance.  

Roffer was granted conditional release and ordered to forfeit his state teaching

James Kimp, a 31 year old head of a Long Island youth group, has been busted for impersonating a cop and failing to register as a convicted sex offender.  Kimp showed a phony badge to a Hempstead park employee May 7 and claimed to be a Missing Persons Squad detective looking for a 9 year old boy from the youth group.  The worker became suspicious and asked for a police photo identification but he showed her a North Carolina driver’s license instead.  She phone police, who investigated and arrested him.

Gabriel Nunez, Jr., a 33 year old Mineola man working in a pharmacy, was arraigned yesterday on a sexual abuse charge after he molested an 8 year old girl who came in the store looking for candy.  He was arrested at the Duane Read/Rock Bottom store at 530 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.  Nunez, of 147 Jericho Turnpike,  was arraigned on a first degree sexual abuse charge and was held in lieu of $25,000 bail.  About 9:15 p.m. Friday the girl, who had been with her mother doing laundry next door,

John Vodicka, a 36 year old Baldwin High School science teacher and track team coach, wasarrested January 9, 2003, for sexually abusing a 16 year old female student. Vodicka, of 29 NorthStreet, Syosset, inappropriately touched the girl on four occasions between October 1999 and May2000. The abuse took place in an empty classroom during school hours. During that time, he alsoe-mailed pornographic photographs to the victim’s house. He was arraigned on six counts of felonyfirst degree disseminating indecent material to a minor, and four counts of third degree sexualabuse,

Genaro Figueroa, a 65 year old owner of a driving school, was arrested by Nassau police Wednesday after a lengthy investigation into allegations that he groped a 17 year old student while teaching her to parallel park in Valley Stream.  Figueroa, of Hollis, Queens, was arrested and charged with first degree sexual abuse.  The abuse occurred on July 9, 2002, toward the end of a driving lesson.  He groped her at that point and then forced her to touch him.  The girl immediately left the car, went to a friend’s
